SCHMIDT <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 111.0302 OF SECTION 1 OF <br />ORDINANCE NUMBER 1021, THE INCOME TAX ORDINANCE, BY CREAT- <br />ING THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT TAX ADI•fINISTRATOR. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ~1AYFIELD, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sectioh 1. Section 111.0302 of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1021, <br />the Income Tax Ordinance, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 111.0302. Administrator and Assistant Tax Administrator. <br />"Administrator means the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village <br />of Mayfield, unless the Mayor, subject to confirmation by a majority <br />of the members of Council .appoint some other individual to administer <br />and enforce the provisions of this Ordinance. Except when some other <br />individual is so appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by <br />a majority of members of Council, all proyisions and references in <br />this Ordinance applying to the Administrator shall apply equally to <br />the Clerk-Treasurer, and the word "Administrator" shall be deemed <br />to mean "Clerk-Treasurer" wherever it appears. The Mayor may also <br />appoint, subject to confirmation by a majority of members of Council, <br />an Assistant Tax Administrator, who, subject to the direction of the <br />Administrator, shall be empowered to exercise all of the authority <br />conferred in Ordinance No. 1021 as amended, upon the Administrator." <br />Section 2. In all other respects, said Ordinance No. 1021, as amended <br />by Ordinance No. 1060, shall remain in full force and effect. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary far the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to have sufficient <br />manpower with which to enforce the provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, and • <br />this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon the date of its <br />passage. <br />Passed this 17th day of .Tune, 1968. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) CLERK-'REASURER <br />d / <br />.~ ~asd,, , /~ <br />MAY - PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br /> <br />
