DAMS <br />AN ORDINANCE TO OBTAIN THE SERVICES OF PIARTHA WIECE FOR <br />TELEPHONE ANSWERING SERVICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PiAYFIELll, CUYAHOGA <br />COUIQTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Beginning as of the 1st day of January, 1969, Council <br />employes the services of Martha Wiece for telephone answering service, on <br />a month-to-month basis, at the rate of One Hundred Forty Dollars ($140.00) <br />per month. Said employment may be terminated by either party upon thirty <br />(30) days written notice. Said Pfartha Wiece will, at her home, at 471 Miner <br />Road, on equipment furnished by the Ohio Bell Telephone Company, anscaer all <br />telephone calls not otherwise answered at the Village Hall on all of the <br />Village telephone lines, including its police department, fire department <br />and service department, and take messages and give information to the proper <br />persons, and she will transmit all emergency telephone calls of the Village <br />of Mayfield Police Department to the Police Department of any other <br />municipality furnishing radio transmission service to the Village of Mayfield, <br />and she will cooperate with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in relaying <br />Fire Department calls of the Village. <br />Section 2. All previous ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance <br />are hereby repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to provide <br />better service in the Police, Fire and Service Departments, and shall take <br />effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 20th day of January, 1969. <br />~. ~~ <br />ATTEST: P1AP - ESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />.~ ~-~ ~~~ <br />(SEAL) ~) CLERK-TREASURER <br />
