SCHMIDT <br />T <br />~ AN ORDINANCE GIVING CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE <br />~ POLICE DEPARTMENT ADDITIONAL CREDIT FOR <br />LONGEVITY BENEFITS <br />WHEREAS, Donald Gould, David Wlteatcraft and William Shortle have served <br />considerable periods of time as special policemen before becoming regular members <br />of the Police Department of the Village of Mayfield and Council believes that these <br />men should be given extra credit for longevity benefits, to-wit: in computing <br />~ their additional compensation and vacations. <br />NOL7, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. For purposes of computing longevity benefits in connection <br />with additional compensation and vacations under Sections 3 and 4 of Ordinance <br />No. 70-5 entitled "An Ordinance Prescribing Salaries, Rates of Compensation and <br />Vacations of Certain Employees of the Village of Mayfield, Beginning as of <br />January 1, 1970", the following extra credits are hereby given to the following <br />members of the Police Department in recognition of their prior periods of service <br />as special policemen; and shall apply in future ordinances having longevity and <br />") vacation schedules:as to the following three men: <br />Donald Gould - extra credit of dour years and six months, thereby <br />~ establishing his starting date for longevity purposes to be <br />~~ November 1, 1963. <br />'V ~ David idlteatcr®ft - extra credit of 'five months, thereby establishing <br />his starting date for longevity purposes to December 1, 1960. <br />b <br />b <br />~~ William Shortle - extra credit of seven months, thereby extablishing <br />~ his starting dhte for longevity purposes to be June 14, 1956. <br />~; <br />Lt1 Section 2. Inasmuch as it was the intent of Council to make the provisions <br />9e found in Section 1 hereof effective at the time of the adoption of Ordinance No. 70-5, <br />~ the credits and benefits set forth in Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be in force <br />~ retroactively for the entire year, 1970. <br />~ ~ Section 3.
