? <br />ORDINANCE No. 858 <br />By,-'Mr. Piason <br />AN ORDINANCE GIVING THE CONSENT OF THE VIlI.AGE OF <br />MAYFIELD TO CUYAHOGA COUNTY FOR THE IIMPROVFaSENT OF <br />RIDGEBURY SOULEVARD BY GRADING, DRAINING, PAVING AND <br />INSfALLING_AND RELOCATING WATER LINES.AND SANITARY $EWERS <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has tentatively agreed <br />to improve Ridgebury Boulevard, a County Road, between Richmond Road and <br />SOM Center Road.by grading, draining and paving; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has requested that the road improvement contract <br />include all alterations, relocations or necessary additions to the existing <br />water supply and sanitary sewer systems; and <br />47HEREAS, Ridgebury Boulevard is a Village street and also a.County <br />road, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTIL OF THE VILI,AGE OF <br />MAYFIELD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Sec, 1, That it is declared to be of public interest that the consent <br />of the Village be and such consent is hereby given to the improvement of the <br />above mentioned iiighway. <br />Sec. 2. It is hereby declared that the improvement aforesaid is of <br />sufficient public importance to the Village and that said Village is financially <br />able to contribute twenty-five per cent (25%,) of the cost of that portion of <br />the improvement, including right of way, within the Village attd the entire <br />cost of any sanitary sewer or water line work within the Village limits, <br />Sec, 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergeacy ordinance <br />i.mmediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and <br />safety, such emergency existing by reason of the present condition of said <br />road and by reason of the inadequacy of such road to handle existing and <br />anticipated vehicular traffic between the points hereinbefore designated, in <br />consequence whereof great public inconvenience is beittg suffered and will be <br />suffered and public vehicular traffic endangered and delayed, and for the <br />further reason that it is ttecessary to proceed at once in order to complete <br />the i.mprovement of said road during the coming year; wherefor, the Council <br />declares an emergency to exist and that this is an emergency measure which <br />shall be in full force and effect from and immediately after its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor.
