ORDINANCE No. 882 By Mr. Bennett AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF TAlARICO TRUCIC SAT,ES_& SERVICE C0. FOR THE_SALE,OF A TRUCK,CNASSIS WHEREAS, due advertisement has been made in accordance with law, inviting bids for the sale to the Village of Mayfield of a new 1965 truck chassis suitable for use by the Service Department, in aceordance with the specifications approved by Council; and . ' WHEREAS, Talarico Truck Sales & Service Co., a respottsible bidder, ' has submitted a bid for the sale of the same to the Village for the sum of $7,136.00, with an allowance of $1,300.00 on the used 1960 Dodge Truck ? chassis now used by the Service Department of the Village,'and Council deems ? said bid to be the lowest and best submitted. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII. OF THE VII,IAGE OF MAYFIELD CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO,_THAT: .. _ . . -- • Sec. 1. Council accepts the bid of Talarico Truck Sales 8, Service Co., for the sale to the Village of Mayfield of a new Model R-192 International Truck Chassis, in accordance with the bid submitted under date of March 12, 1965, in the amount of $7,136.00, which includes a$6,00 filing fee, with an allowance of $1,300.00 for the used 1960 Dodge Truck Chassis now used by the Service Department, or a net difference of $5,386.00. Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement in writing with said Talarico Truck Sales & Service Co. for the purchase of said equipment, to execute an assignment of the Certifi- cate of Title of the used 1960 Dodge Chassis now used by the Service Department to said Talarico Truck Sales & Service Co. and to make, execute and deliver such papers and documents as may be necessary to carry into efEect the terms of this ordinance. i Sec. 3. There is hereby appropriated froui the Village Treasury a sum sufficient to carry out tht terms of this ordinance. i Sec. 4. This ordinance is hereby deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare because of the necessity of having equipment as soon as possible to carry on the vital functions of the Village, and this ordinance shall go into force and effect from and after the date of its passage. -)a Passed this 15th day of piarch, 1965.
