ORDINANCE No. 952 <br />By Mr. Sloan <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 309, THE TRAFFIC <br />ORDINANCE, SO AS TO PREVENT DRIVING OVER WET OR <br />FRESHLY PAINTED LINES IN STREETS . <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VI7,LAGE OF MAYFIII.D, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. Section 67 of Ordinance No. 309, entitled; "An Ordinance to <br />Regulate Traffic on the Streets and Public Highways of the Village of Mayfield" <br />is hereby amended to read, as follows: . <br />"Sec. 67 - Driving on Newly I,aid Sidewalk or Pavement and Across <br />Wet or Painted I,ines, No person_shall drive any vehicle, drive or <br />lead any animal, or walk upon or over any newly J.ai;d sidewalk or pavement <br />in the street, around which sidewalk or pavement there exists a barrier, <br />sign, light or watchman warning not to enter the same, or indicating <br />that such sidewalk or street is closed to traffic, nor upon; over,or <br />across a wet or freshly painted line in the street which has been there <br />placed under authority of the Village of Mayfield, providing notice is <br />posted or properly given as to the existence of such wet or freshly <br />painted line." <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order that <br />lines painted in the street for the protection of motorists be not obliterated, <br />and this ordinance shall be in fmll force and effect from and after the date <br />oE its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of April, 1966. <br />Attest: Mayor - President of Council <br />(SEAL) Clerk-Treasur r <br />
