ORDINANCE No. 980 <br />By Mr. Busa <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 13-1 (a) OF ORDINANCE <br />N0, 360 BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MENIBERS 0$ THE <br />ARCHITECTURAL BORARD OF REVIEW <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VZLLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. Section 13-1 (a) of Ordinance No. 86, commonly known as the <br />Building Code of the Village of Mayfield, as amended by Ordinances Nos. 360, <br />372, 409, 609, and 618, is hereby amended to read, as follows: <br />"Sec. 13-1 - Architectural Board of Review <br />(a) There shall be and hereby is established in the <br />Village of Mayfield, Ohio, an Architectural Board of Review, herein- <br />after sometimes called `The Board', consistittg of four persons, ttot <br />members of the Council, to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed <br />by Council. Each such member of the Board shall serve £or three <br />years. The members of the Board shall complete their terms, which <br />expire on December 31st, in the years 1966, 1967 and 1968 respectively. <br />Upon the effective date of this ordinattce a fourth member of the Board <br />shall be appointed who shall take office January 1, 1967, and shyll <br />serve for a term of three years, so that there will be two appointments <br />to the Board effective as of January 1, 1967, for terms of three years <br />each and every third year thereafter two members shall be elected to <br />the Board for three year terms, whereas in other years one member <br />shall be elected each year for a three year texm. <br />"In addition, at the first meeting of Council itt each year, the <br />Mayor,shall appoint a Member of Council to serve for a one year teLm <br />on the Board, such appointment to be confirmed by vote of Couttcil. <br />"Vacancies shall be filled for the remainder of unexpired terms <br />in thg same manner as original appointments are made. <br />"Any member of the Board shall be subject to removal by the Mayor <br />with the consent of Council." <br />Sec. 2. Section 13-1 (a) of Ordinance No. 86, as it heretofore existed, <br />is hereby repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance.
