ORDINANCE No. 985 <br />By Mr. Sloan <br />qPI ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR EXCHp.NGE OF FIRE E41JIPMENT <br />AND FIRFrIE1V IN CtySE_OF IMERGENCY T+TITH_THE CITY OF <br />MAYFIELD HEIGHTS AND THE VILI,AGES OF G(iTES MILLS_ <br />AND_$IGHLAIVD HEIGHTS,.OHIO.__ <br />BE IT ORD(iINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGB OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />OHIO, THAT: . - - _ -- - _ _ -- - . - - _- • _.. . .. <br />Sec. 1. The Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Ohio, are hereby authorized to enter ittto an Agreement or p,greements on <br />behalf of the Village of Mayfield with the City of Mayfield'Heights; and <br />the Villages of Gates Mills and Highland Heights, Ohio, providing for the <br />exchange of Eire fighting Equipment and firemen in the event of emergency. <br />Such pgreement or /igreements shall not require any party thereto to leave <br />unprotected or in jeopardy its own territory and shall provide that the <br />party making such emergency run out of its own Municipal limits shall <br />bear all expenses in connection therewith. Such contract shall be for a <br />period not exceeding three (3) years and shall be terminable upon thirty <br />(30) days' written notice. <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, safety and welfare oE the Village of Dlayfield and its inhabitants, <br />in order to provi.de better fire protection in case of emergency, and shall <br />go ittto effect and bein force from and after the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of December, 1966. <br />l 3-Al.1v. l l' ?lP?nrv?Y/W ?,.
