.J <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011-08 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR RONALD WYNNE <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />DAVE YOST, AUDITOR OF STATE <br />TO CONDUCT AN AUDIT OF THE <br />VILLAGE'S BASIC FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AS OF AND <br />FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2010. <br />WHEREAS, in keeping with Government Auditing Standards and the Village's audit <br />requirements, it is deemed by Council to be in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare <br />of all Village residents in the operations of this municipal government to enter into an <br />agreement with Dave Yost, Auditor of State, to conduct an audit of the Village's basic <br />financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2010. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and President of Council are authorized and direct <br />Ronald Wynne to enter into an agreement with Dave Yost, Auditor of State to conduct an <br />audit of the Village's basic financial statements as of and for the year ending December 31, <br />2010 as more fully set forth in the Engagement Letter attached hereto and incorporated herein <br />as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized and directed to make payment <br />to Dave Yost, Auditor of State, for these audit services in an amount not to exceed Eleven <br />Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($11,500.00). <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield Village. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative <br />
