ORDINANCE NO. 95- 17 ~ <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />CREATING THE PART-TIME POSITION OF VILLAGE <br />GROUNDS KEEPER FOR THE SUMMER SEASON <br />WHEREAS, the Village Service Department could and does require <br />additional assistance in the keeping of certain areas during the <br />summertime, particularly the ball diamonds, the cemetery, and the <br />gazebo area; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to retain a full-time <br />person for the summer season who will take care of the <br />aforementioned areas. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the position of Village grounds keeper is <br />hereby and herein created, said position to be full-time during the <br />Spring, Summer and early Fall months, as determined by the Mayor. <br />SECTION 2. The compensation of the Village grounds keeper <br />shall be hourly, as determined by motion of Council subsequent <br />hereto, and said person shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor <br />for purposes of maintaining the Village ball diamonds and <br />recreational areas, the cemetery, and gazebo area, and such other <br />duties as may be assigned by the Mayor from time to time. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />MA FIXL <br />Council resident <br />First Reading: March 20 1995 <br />Second Reading: Suspended , 1995 <br />Third Reading: Suspended , 1995 <br />
