ORDINANCE NO. 95-51 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING A UNIFORM ALLOWANCE IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS PER EMPLOYEE IN THE <br />SERVICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Village currently provides full uniform service <br />along with cleaning of same at the cost of Four Hundred Twenty- <br />Three and 80/100 Dollars ($423.80) per Service Department employee <br />per year; and <br />WHEREAS, the Service Department employees are desirous of <br />altering that arrangement by reducing the clothing contract with <br />Cintas Clothing Company to Two Hundred Twenty-One Dollars <br />($221.00), not including laundering, per employee per year; and <br />WHEREAS, the employees are additionally desirous of providing <br />their own laundering, buying their own boots, hats, T-shirts, and <br />replacement clothing, in exchange for the Village paying each <br />employee Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per year as and for clothing <br />allowance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />and herein authorized to provide each employee in the Service <br />Department a clothing allowance in the amount of Two Hundred <br />Dollars ($200.00) to be paid at the discretion of the <br />Administration, as and for supplemental items needed for clothing <br />in the Service Department. <br />SECTION 2. This clothing allowance is contingent upon each <br />employee properly cleaning and maintaining their uniforms, and <br />keeping quality boots, hats, T-shirts, properly laundered and <br />maintained throughout the work year. <br />SECTION 3. This payment is further contingent upon the <br />Village being permitted to modify its agreement with Cintas <br />Clothing Company reducing the annual payment from Four Hundred <br />Twenty-Three and 80/100 Dollars ($423.80) per -man to Two Hundred <br />Twenty-One Dollars ($221.00) per man in the Service Department. <br />SECTION 4. This agreement shall be implemented by mutual <br />agreement between the Service Department and the Administration and <br />may be prorated for any year. <br />SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />-~ such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />
