RESOLUTION NO. 94-28 <br />INTRODUCED BYo Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AGREEMENT WITH VELOTTA <br />ASPHALT STREET REPAIRS <br />SIXTEEN THOUSAND, SIX <br />DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS. <br />RESOLUTION <br />TO ENTER INTO AN <br />PAVING COMPANY FOR <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />HUNDRED SIXTY-SEVEN <br />WHEREAS, it has already been deemed necessary and in the best <br />interests of the health, safety and welfare of all of the Village <br />residents to have street repairs conducted within the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village, <br />those bids were received, and it was determined that the bid of <br />Velotta Paving Company was the best bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Velotta Paving Company to <br />perform asphalt repairs to certain streets within the Village, <br />pursuant to the bids and specifications as advertised by the <br />Village, and pursuant to that company's bid in the amount of <br />Sixteen Thousand, Six Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents, <br />(16,667.50) as received by the Village, which is hereby and herein <br />determined to be the best bid, and pursuant to terms and conditions <br />set forth in these documents. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />G l'x ' . <br />J NE CINCO, <br />670ncil President
