RESOLUTION NO. 94- 46 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE <br />NECESSITY OF RENEWING BY LEVY A TAX IN EXCESS <br />OF THE 10-MILL LIMITATION AND SUBMITTING THE SAME <br />TO THE ELECTORATE OF MAYFIELD VILI,AGE, OHIO <br />WHEREAS, the Council deems it to be in the best interest of the <br />municipality to renew the levy of a 2.3 mills tax for an additional <br />period of five (5) years for the payment of current expenses. <br />NOW, TfEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY '1'HE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. It is necessary to renew a levy of 2.3 mills in excess <br />of the 10-mill limitation for the benefit of Mayfield Village for the <br />purpose of paying current expenses at a rate not to exceed 2.3 mills for <br />each $1.00 of valuation, which amounts to Twenty-Three Cents ($.23) for <br />each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of valuation for a period of five (5) <br />years beginning with the tax duplicate year 1995, which levy is a <br />renewal of an existing levy of 2.3 mills. <br />SECTION 2. The question of renewing the existing tax levy shall <br />be submitted to the electors of Mayfield Village, Ohio,at the Veneral <br />election to be held at the usual voting places within said municipality <br />on the 3rd day of May, 1995. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed <br />to certify a copy of this Resolution to the Cuyahoga County Board of <br />Elections as provided by law, and to notify the Board of Elections to <br />cause notice of said election on the question of levying said tax to be <br />given as required by law. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have <br />been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of <br />this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all <br />statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of <br />the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5.
