ORDINANCE NO. 93-33 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />A'~iENDING SECTION 1321.04 OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES BY INCLUDING AN ADDITIONAL SECTION <br />RELATIVE TO ENTRANCES FOR PEOPLE INTO GARAGES <br />WHEREAS, the Ordinance Review Committee has recommended that <br />there be a requirement set forth in our Code for a "People Door" <br />with a minimum of 36" in width for the purpose of allowing entrance <br />and exit for people into their garages; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that this amendment is <br />necessary for the safety and welfare of the residents in this <br />community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Section 1321.04 is hereby and herein amended <br />to create an additional requirement on Page 30 of the Building Code <br />which will read as follows: <br />RDHC 1553.07 Garage Doors. (Added) <br />In addition to the Garage Doors for the entering and exiting <br />of vehicles there shall be a "People Door" that is 36" minimum <br />in width for the purpose of entering and exiting from the <br />garage. <br />SECTION 2. The rest and remainder of Section 1321.04 shall <br />remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />JO N E CINCO, " <br />O u cil President <br />
