ORDINANCE NO. 92-29 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 90-46 RELEVANT <br />TO THE "SCHOLARSHIP FUND" <br />WHEREAS, the Council is desirous of amending the Debbie <br />Hudacko Memorial Scholarship Fund which was previously established <br />by Ordinance No. 90-46, in order to provide for direct payment to <br />the person being awarded this scholarship. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 90-46 is hereby <br />and herein amended to read as follows: <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance shall make payments <br />from said fund upon the presentation of vouchers or orders in <br />accordance with Rules and Regulations governing such award as <br />determined by the Mayfield Village Recreation Board. Such <br />payment for a scholarship awardee shall be made directly to <br />the awardee or to the appropriate institution and will <br />designate the awardee by name and applicable identification <br />number. If such award is not claimed on or before October 1st <br />of the year of the award, the award shall be considered <br />forfeited and will revert back to the "Scholarship Fund." <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
