RESOLUTION 2006-21 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION THANKING AND CONGRATULATING <br />CAPTAIN ROBERT REID JAMIESON <br />FOR HIS FORTY YEARS OF DEDICATION AND SERVICE ON BEHALF OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson recently retired after 40 years of service as a Firefighter; <br />WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was appointed to the Mayfield Village Fire Department on <br />August 15, 1966; and <br />WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was promoted to Lieutenant in December of 1968; and <br />WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was promoted to Captain on May 18, 1970; and <br />WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was one of the first in the area to complete emergency <br />medical technician training and was the Village Fire Department's training officer for many years; and <br />WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson's service, involvement, commitment and dedication to <br />the Village should be commended. <br />THAT: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />Captain Robert Reid Jamieson be and is hereby recognized for <br />his forty (40) years of dedication and tireless service to Mayfield Village. <br />SECTION 1. The Village of Mayfield, its Mayor, Council, residents, employers, employees and <br />officials wish to thank Robert Reid Jamieson for his years of dedicated service on behalf of the Village <br />and congratulate him on his retirement. He will be sorely missed. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to <br />the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate <br />original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to Robert Reid Jamieson. <br />The other original shall be placed in the permanent records of the Village as a lasting tribute to Robert <br />Reid Jamieson. <br />
