RESOLUTION 2006-21 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION THANKING AND CONGRATULATING CAPTAIN ROBERT REID JAMIESON FOR HIS FORTY YEARS OF DEDICATION AND SERVICE ON BEHALF OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE and WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson recently retired after 40 years of service as a Firefighter; WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was appointed to the Mayfield Village Fire Department on August 15, 1966; and WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was promoted to Lieutenant in December of 1968; and WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was promoted to Captain on May 18, 1970; and WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson was one of the first in the area to complete emergency medical technician training and was the Village Fire Department's training officer for many years; and WHEREAS, Robert Reid Jamieson's service, involvement, commitment and dedication to the Village should be commended. THAT: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, Captain Robert Reid Jamieson be and is hereby recognized for his forty (40) years of dedication and tireless service to Mayfield Village. SECTION 1. The Village of Mayfield, its Mayor, Council, residents, employers, employees and officials wish to thank Robert Reid Jamieson for his years of dedicated service on behalf of the Village and congratulate him on his retirement. He will be sorely missed. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to Robert Reid Jamieson. The other original shall be placed in the permanent records of the Village as a lasting tribute to Robert Reid Jamieson.
