i. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 96-48 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) POLICE MOTOR VEHICLES FROM <br />32 FORD-MERCURY, INC. THROUGH THE STATE'S COOPERATIVE PURCHASE <br />PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, formal advertisement and bidding is not required if <br />purchases are made through the State's Cooperative Purchase <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, by taking advantage of the State's Cooperative <br />Purchase Program extremely beneficial prices have been obtained on <br />the purchase of three (3) 1997 Ford Crown Victoria Police vehicles; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, by reason thereof, Council wishes to grant <br />authorization to purchase theses vehicles. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Village Council grants authorization for <br />the purchase of three (3) 1997 Ford Crown Victoria Police vehicles, <br />per state specifications, and pursuant to the State's Cooperative <br />Purchase Program, from 32 Ford-Mercury, Inc. for a total purchase <br />price not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00). <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized and directed <br />to make p.ayment for said vehicles out of the appropriate fund of <br />the Village of Mayfield. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the publ.ic, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />??p
