2/5/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-7 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING MARSHALL FORD TO BE THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO THE <br />MUNICIFALITY OF TWO (2) POLICE CARS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH MARSHALL FORD <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-NINE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED <br />FORTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND SEVENTY CENTS ($29,148.70) FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF THE TWO (2) POLICE CARS, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village wishes to purchase two (2) police cars to <br />maintain efficient law enforcement in the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, in accordance with the law, advertised for <br />bids for the purchase of such vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council was informed that no bids were submitted <br />within the time required in the advertisement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council authorized the Police Chief to obtain <br />informal bids for the purchase of two (2) police cars; and <br />WHEREAS,. Mayfield Village has an immediate need for the purchase of two <br />(2) police cars in accordance with the bid specifications; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with the informal bids received, Marshall Ford <br />is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the sale to the <br />Municipality of two (2) police cars. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a purchase agreement with Marshall Ford in an amount <br />not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Four Dollars and <br />Thirty-Five Cents ($14,574.35) per automobile provided that said purchase <br />agreement is in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was <br />received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />
