02/16/90 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-11 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING HORTON EMERGENCY VEHICLES COMPANY, <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />AN EMERGENCY MEDICAL VEHICLE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED SEVENTY FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND <br />EIGHTEEN DOLLARS ($74,818.00) WITH TRADE-IN, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID VEHICLE, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to advertisement as <br />required by law, Horton Emergency Vehicle Company, is hereby declared to be <br />the lowest and best bidder for the purchase of an emergency medical vehicle <br />with trade-in. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute a purchase agreement with Horton Emergency Vehicle Company <br />in an amount not to exceed Seventy Four Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighteen <br />Dollars ($74,818.00) provided that such purchase agreement is in accordance <br />with the specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the <br />purchase made herein is necessary to maintain effective governmental services. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirma- <br />
