AMENDED 02/19/90 RESOLUTION N0. 90-13 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION N0. 89-83 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR PARTICIPATION BY THE VILLAGE IN RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE RECYCLING THROUGH WASTE MANAGEMENT OF OHIO-WESTERN RESERVE FROM APRIL 1, 1990 THROUGH JULY 31, 1991 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, on November 20, 1989, Council enacted Resolution No. 89-83 which authorized the Mayor and President of Council to execute a contract for participation by the Village in Residential Curbside Recycling through Waste Management of Ohio-Western Reserve; and WHEREAS, to be in compliance with State law, it was desirous of the Mayor and Council to obtain informal bids from other local businesses; and WHEREAS, Waste Management of Ohio-Western Reserve was the only business to submit a bid in accordance with bid specifications; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council wishes to enter into a contract with Waste Management of Ohio-Western Reserve to begin the Residential Curbside Recycling Program; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 89-83 is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted materials appears like ~~~ and new material appears like THIS) Section 1. The Mayor and Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Waste Management of Ohio-Western Reserve for participation by the residents of Mayfield Village in Residential Curbside Recycling from 3~nua~y--3.; 1~}9~0 APRIL 1, 1990, through July 31, 1991, in the amount of One Dollar and Seventy-Five Cents ($1.75) per home for the month, with a ELEVEN Cent ($0.11) increase in said price to take effect p-~t-~anrrcmr- ~an--t~re-anniroersarq~ -die- o~f~-t~te~--eo~rt-ra~ ON JANUARY 1, 1991. The contract authorized shall be in a form approved by Director of Law. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
