RESOLUTION NO. 91- 25 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING APPLE COMPUTER, INC. <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO <br />MUNICIPALITY OF COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT, AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />TO PAY AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINE THOUSAND EIGHT <br />DOLLARS AND NINETY-FOUR CENTS ($9,008.94) AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with the informal bids <br />received, Apple Computer, Inc. is hereby declared to the lowest <br />and best bidder for the sale to the Municipality of computer <br />hardware and software for the Police Department. <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directed to make payment to Apple Computer, Inc. an amount <br />not to exceed Nine Thousand Eight Dollars and Ninety-Four Cents <br />"~ ($9,008.94) for the purchase of said computer hardware and <br />software. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, for the reason that the purchase authorized herein is <br />necessary to maintain effective law enforcement within the <br />Municipality. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon <br />the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) <br />__~- <br />_= ~+~ <br />
