6/17/91 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-59 <br />INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND COUNCIL AS A WHOLE <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE WALTER H. DRAKE COMPANY <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY-TWO DOLLARS <br />AND SEVENTY CENTS ($3,862.70) FOR UPDATING <br />THE VILLAGE CODIFIED ORDINANCES AND <br />OTHER SERVICES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village previously <br />authorized the Mayor and Director of Finance to execute a <br />contract with The Walter H. Drane Company for the recodification <br />and updating of the Village Codified Ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, between the dates of January 1, 1990, through May <br />1, 1991 the Council has passed Ordinances so that, in order to be <br />current, it requires the updating of the Village Codified <br />Ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, the total charges for the update, together with <br />the items ordered by the Municipality total Three Thousand Eight <br />Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars and Seventy Cents ($3,862.70); now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1: The Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directed to pay to The Walter H. Drane Company the sum of <br />Three Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars and Seventy Cents <br />($3,862.70) as and for the services referred to hereinabove. <br />SECTION 2: The Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to <br />the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />SECTION 3: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the health, <br />safety and welfare of the Residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the payment authorized herein is necessary <br />for the Village to meet its contractual obligations.
