RESOLUTION NO. 91-61 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION COMMENDING SERGEANT MAC A. GRIESMAR FOR HIS TIME AND EFFORTS IN ESTABLISHING THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM IN THE HAYFIELD LOCAL SCHOOLS WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar, after completing an intense training program at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, became eligible to serve as a D.A.R.E. Training Officer; and WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar introduced the D.A.R.E. Program to the school officials of the Mayfield Local Schools who enthusiastically agreed to add the D.A.R.E. Program to their curriculum; and WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar, working closely with the 5th and 6th grade teachers, established a liaison between himself and teaching professionals; and WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar expended many hours of preparation, establishing plans and unique presentations skills in order to insure that the message of the D.A.R.E. Program was dramatically instilled in every student; and WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar dedicated himself as an exemplary role model for every young person, not only while involved in teaching the D.A.R.E. Program but while interacting with these young people during recess, lunch breaks, and extra- curricular activities; and WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar organized the D.A.R.E. Culmination Ceremony which was attended by nearly every D.A.R.E. Graduate with their parents and school officials; and WHEREAS, through the efforts of Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar, the first D.A.R.E. Program established was successful and well received by those affected, and through his conduct, favorably represented himself, the police department and the community of Mayfield Village throughout the presentation of this Program; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT:
