RESOLUTION NO. 91-61 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />COMMENDING SERGEANT MAC A. GRIESMAR FOR <br />HIS TIME AND EFFORTS IN ESTABLISHING THE <br />D.A.R.E. PROGRAM IN THE HAYFIELD LOCAL SCHOOLS <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar, after completing an <br />intense training program at the Ohio Peace Officer Training <br />Academy, became eligible to serve as a D.A.R.E. Training Officer; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar introduced the D.A.R.E. <br />Program to the school officials of the Mayfield Local Schools who <br />enthusiastically agreed to add the D.A.R.E. Program to their <br />curriculum; and <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar, working closely with the <br />5th and 6th grade teachers, established a liaison between himself <br />and teaching professionals; and <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar expended many hours of <br />preparation, establishing plans and unique presentations skills <br />in order to insure that the message of the D.A.R.E. Program was <br />dramatically instilled in every student; and <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar dedicated himself as an <br />exemplary role model for every young person, not only while <br />involved in teaching the D.A.R.E. Program but while interacting <br />with these young people during recess, lunch breaks, and extra- <br />curricular activities; and <br />WHEREAS, Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar organized the D.A.R.E. <br />Culmination Ceremony which was attended by nearly every D.A.R.E. <br />Graduate with their parents and school officials; and <br />WHEREAS, through the efforts of Sergeant Mac A. Griesmar, <br />the first D.A.R.E. Program established was successful and well <br />received by those affected, and through his conduct, favorably <br />represented himself, the police department and the community of <br />Mayfield Village throughout the presentation of this Program; <br />now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />
