ORDINANCE N0.2011-44 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1329.01 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES RELATIVE TO THE BUILDING CODE WHEREAS, the Building Commissioner has made certain recommendations for adoption of the 2011 Ohio Building Code; and WHEREAS, the Village Council, based upon these recommendations has deemed these amendments to be in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 1329.01 of the Codified Ordinances is hereby and herein amended to read as follows: 1329.01 ADOPTION There is hereby adopted by the Municipality, the Ohio Building Code (OBC) and related Codes as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, Department of IndustrialRelations, effective ~~•'~~'~-~O~~November 1, 2011 as identified and published in Divison 4101:1 et seq. of the. Ohio Administrative Code (OAC). SECTION 2. This Ordinance and the new Code shall be effective November 1, 2011. SECTION 3. All other provisions of the Village's Codified Ordinances not inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance to the Codifer of the Village of Mayfield. SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio. It shall,
