J -b <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 11 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO SEEK FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE OF OHIO DEPARTMENT <br />OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR FUNDING FOR PUBLIC <br />RECREATION PURPOSES <br />WHEREAS, the State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, <br />administers financial assistance for public recreation purposes, through the_Federal Land <br />and Water Conservation Fund Program and/or the State of Ohio Nature Works; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village desires financial assistance under the Nature Works <br />Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village approves and the Mayor and Director <br />of Finance are hereby authorized to execute and file an application with the Ohio <br />Department of Natural Resources and to provide all information and documentation <br />required to become eligible for possible funding assistance. <br />SECTION 2. The Village does agree to obligate the funds required to satisfactorily <br />complete the proposed project and become eligible for reimbursement under the terms and <br />conditions of the Nature Works Program. <br />SECTION 3. The Mayor is authorized to enter into any agreements as may be <br />necessary and appropriate for obtaining this financial assistance; as approved as to form <br />by the Village Law Director, and in accordance with all authority granted to and limitations <br />upon the Village Director of Finance. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption by Council <br />and signature of the Mayor, or as otherwise provided for by law. <br />SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal actian, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 6. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents <br />of Mayfield Village. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the
