?' <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-; ly . <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor x=er and (:ouncil as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 1.8 ACRES OF <br />VACANT LAND ALONG HIGHLAND ROAD <br />FROM ROSS ARMAO AND ROSE ARMAO <br />WHEREAS, the Village is desirous of acquiring certain property in proximity to the <br />Service DeparCment property and Wiley Pazk which Council deems to be in the best interests of <br />all Village residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the property known as Permanent Parcel No. 831-11-009, 1.8 acres of <br />vacant land of which the Village will appraise to determine the fair market value. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VII,LAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and Director of Finance, and Director of Law are hereby and <br />herein authorized and directed to enter into a Purchase Agreement with Ross Armao and Rose <br />Armao and to acquire the property known as Permanent Parcel No. 831-11-009, and also lrnown <br />as 1.8 acres of vacant land along Highland Road, in the Village of Mayfield, for an amount and <br />upon the terms and conditions to be negotiated by the Finance Director and the Law Director. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that a11 formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with a11 sta.tutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECT'ION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five <br />(5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />, <br />f? 7//o <br />William Marquardt <br />Council President
