INTRODUCED BY: Mayor x=er and (:ouncil as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 1.8 ACRES OF VACANT LAND ALONG HIGHLAND ROAD FROM ROSS ARMAO AND ROSE ARMAO WHEREAS, the Village is desirous of acquiring certain property in proximity to the Service DeparCment property and Wiley Pazk which Council deems to be in the best interests of all Village residents; and WHEREAS, the property known as Permanent Parcel No. 831-11-009, 1.8 acres of vacant land of which the Village will appraise to determine the fair market value. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VII,LAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Mayor and Director of Finance, and Director of Law are hereby and herein authorized and directed to enter into a Purchase Agreement with Ross Armao and Rose Armao and to acquire the property known as Permanent Parcel No. 831-11-009, and also lrnown as 1.8 acres of vacant land along Highland Road, in the Village of Mayfield, for an amount and upon the terms and conditions to be negotiated by the Finance Director and the Law Director. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that a11 formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with a11 sta.tutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECT'ION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. , f? 7//o William Marquardt Council President
