ORDINANCE NO. 2014-21 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CODIFIED ORDINANCE SECTION 141.01 <br />EY ADOPTING NEW CODIFIED ORDIllTANCE SUSSECTION 141.01(h) <br />RELATING TO 'I'HE APPOINTMENT OF FIRE FIGHTERS <br />A'I' OR BELOW THEIR 32ND BIRTHDAY. <br />WHEREAS, at the request of the Village's Fire Chief and Civil Service Commission, it is <br />their collective recominendation that new Codified Ordinance Section 141.01(h) be adopted; and <br />WHEREAS, the request has been reviewed by the Village's Ordinance Review <br />Committee and recommended for approval by Council; and <br />WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of the Ordinance Review Committee the <br />Village Council deems it in the best interest of the Village and its residents and for the efficient <br />operations of the Fire Deparhnent to amend Codified Ordinance Section 141.01. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 141.01(h) of the Village's Codified Ordinances shall be adopted to <br />read as more fully set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br />SECTION 2. All other provisions of the Village Codified Ordinances not inconsistent <br />herewith shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy <br />of this Ordinance to the Codifier of the Village of Mayf'ield. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in ineetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requireinents of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
