Minutes of the Spec3.a1 Meeting <br />' April 23, 1956 <br />The Council of the Vi]lage of Nlayfiel.cl met isi Special Meeting at <br />th,e Village Hall at 9:30 P._M., pursuant to notice given to all members <br />of Counci7.' according to -law,.,_ Mayor Endress presiding. Ro1,l Ga7.:1: Present - Messrs Taylor,Wecll.er,Sti-a.ter,Brown Falk & Hoplrins. <br />Absent - None. <br />Aqa.yor Endress then remarked that, as Council members were px°csent <br />at the -Public Heari:n.g and ''had heard the Zoning an.cl Planning Comm3.s sion <br />vote to,_ recomnend that Physicians and Dentists offices be p].aced in a U-6 <br />use classification, everyone should be _ready to ta.ke up the ina.tter for__ <br />which this special meeting i-xa.s ca7led. . <br />Mr. Taylor then said tha.t he thought this action would increase <br />the control of the vi7la.ge over this e].a.ssification and thought that it <br />would be a good thirig. <br />Mr. Strater asked for a c7.ar3fication of Councilt saction i.ia <br />putting tYis in a U-b usea Said Mr. Strater, "If Cown.cil pl.aces <br />Physicians and Dentists in a,U-6 Use,._can they then eontrol the peMnit to <br />be issued and is it a permanent thing; can it be passed on from person <br />to person?0 <br />Mr. Edelman said that Council control3.sd this in every way and <br />that it could nvt be passed on_to someone else. It wou7.e1 be up to tle <br />Planning Comtni.ssion arid Counci.l to permit or not to permit property to be <br />used as a II-6 Use. <br />ardanance No. 538, entitled, rtAn Ordinance Amenciiiig Section 3 0f <br />Ordinance No. 159,- : the ZonS.n.g ardinance of the Vi]lage of Mayf3eld, by. <br />ancluding affices of Pbysicians and Dentists as Class U-6 Uses", which <br />ordin.ance had its first reacliri9 on March 19th, 1956, was read to Cotulcil. <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor, sec onded by Mr. Hopkins, that the rules of <br />law requiring an.ordinanee to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspencied. <br />Re11. Ca11: AyES - kTessrs Taylor,ldedler,Strater,Brown,Fal.k & Hopkins. <br />Nays - Nane. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules stispended. <br />It was then moved-by Mr. Taylor, secanded 'ty Mr. Hopkins, that <br />4rdinance No. 538 be approved_._and. passed as reado . <br />1.
