I <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />, April 17, 1967 <br />The Council of the Village of Niayfield met in regular session at the <br />Village Hall on Monday, April 17, 1967, at 8;00 P. M., Mayor Bennett presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present-=-- Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Absent --- None. <br />Mr. Lockemer corrected the date in the Ninutes of the previous meeting <br />to read March 20th instead of April. Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Busa, moved <br />that the corrected Minutes be approved and accepted as read. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Building Committee - Nir. Davis. <br />Still waiting for the Auditor to finish before starting the Clerk-Treasurer's <br />Office. We have been asked to get bids for painting the downstairs of the Village <br />Hall and also the price of an outside light over the door downstairs. <br />Safety and Service - NIr. Sloan. <br />The Committee recommended that the Finance Committee study the advisability <br />of bids for a new pumper for the Fire Department. <br />Recommended to Finance Committee the purchase of radio and recall equipment <br />f or the Fire and Police Department. <br />Recommended that the Police Department purchase Finger Printing Equipment <br />at an increased price. <br />Mr. Sloan asked about the adequacy of our Swimming Pool Ordinance. NIr. <br />Edelman said that a fence is required if there is a depth of eighteen inches of <br />water. The matter of how close the fence should be.has not been determined. <br />It was thought that portable pools should be under the same governing rules as <br />permanent pools. Mayor Bennett recommended that the Building Inspector talce the <br />responsibility of notifying the people about the Ordinance. <br />' Streetsand Roads - Mr. Sloan. - <br />NIr: Davis, seconded by D4r. Shaw, introduced Ordinance No. 995;" entitled: <br />"An Ordit?ance Authorizing the riayor and Clerk-Treasurer to Enter Into a Contract <br />With the Akroa Paving Corporation to Resurface Bonnieview, Seneca and Glenview <br />Roads", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />1.
