~/ <br />3. tJ <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL i'~EETTNG <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />November 29, 1977 <br />The Council o.f the Village of Mayfield met for a Special Council <br />Meeting on Tuesday, November 29, 1977 at 7:45 P.M., pursuant to <br />Special Meeting Notices delivered to all Council members on Nov. <br />25, 1977. Council President Robert Grogan presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: P~iayor Beebe, Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, <br />Buses, Grogan and Schulte <br />Absent: Mr. Flynn <br />Also present were: Messrs., Avery, Hovancsek, Amendola and Chief Shortle <br />r~r. Grogan stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of <br />discussing the Rate Resolution as Determined by the Budget Commission. <br />Resolution 1005, entitled; °'A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE AMOUNTS AND RATES <br />AS DETERMINED BY THE BUDGET COMNITSSION AND AUTHORIZING THE NECESSARY TAX <br />LEVIES AND CERTIFYING THEM TO THE COUi1TY AUDITOR," was introduced by <br />Council as a ~ti'hole. <br />Mr. Relic explained that the Finance Director prepared the Tax Budget and <br />the Budget Commission reviewed the Budget and sets up the resolution. The <br />Budget Commission has certified that the rate be set at 7.70 mills and he <br />urges Council to adopt. <br />Mr. Buses, seconded by ~Ir. Bennett, made a motion to adopt Resolution 1005. <br />Roll Call: AYES: T~Iessrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bordonaro, Buses, Grogan <br />and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />mayor Beebe read a letter from the Ohio Department of Transportation <br />authorizing the Village to install the traffic signal at S.O.M. and <br />Highland. <br />Chief Shortle stated that he had checked over all the specifications <br />with Dick Sabesta of the County and found them to be in order. <br />Mayor Beebe asked that Council accept the bid of Signal Service so the <br />installation may be gotten in as soon as possible. <br />Mr. Bennett questioned the yearly charge shown on the C.E.I. letter. <br />Chief Shortle and Twlr. Relic clarified by stating it was usually a <br />yearly charge. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that Chief Shortle had given to Law Director Avery all <br />
