~3 r!' ~. <br />La a <br />n <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />December 11, 1978 <br />The Council of the Villac~:e of Mayfield met in special session on Monday, <br />December 11, 1978 at 8:.20 P.M. in the Village Hall pursuant to Special <br />Meeting notices delivered to Council on December 8, 1978. President, <br />Vince Busa presided. <br />Members Present: Messrs., Bennett, Boger, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn, Grogan <br />and Mrs. Hanus. <br />Absent: None <br />1 <br />t <br />Also Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Avery, Feneli, Hovancsek <br />and Relic. <br />Mr. Busa asked for a brief Executive Session at 8:20 P.M. <br />Meeting reconvened at 9:10 P.M. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Boger, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mr. Busa stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider legislation <br />to acquire property for the construction of a municipal building for the <br />Service Department and to-enlarge the recreation facilities of the Village. <br />Resolution 78-58_, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO APPROPRIATE FEE <br />SIMPLE INTEREST"' was introduced by Mr. Flynn and Mrs. Hanus. <br />Mr. Grogan stated that he didn't feel there was a need to pass this <br />resolution when the regular meeting is just a week away. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs., Bennett, Boger, Bordonaro, Busa, Flynn and <br />Mrs. Hanus <br />NAYS: Mr. Grogan .Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to pass Resolution <br />78=58. <br />Mr. Grogan stated that a.bad presidence was being established by the <br />calling of a special meeting to take action on a matter that could wait <br />until the regular meeting especially when it would be taking a considerable <br />amount of land and recommended the resolution be put on first reading. <br />Mr. Bennett agreed with Mr. Grogan but felt due to the anticipated lack <br />of a quorum at the next regular meeting he would recommend a vote be taken. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that the subject had been discussed at the last meeting <br />and didn't feel a need to put the resolution on first reading. <br />Mr. Feneli stated that it should be noted that a mistake was made in. the <br />resolution referring to the Village as a city but this would be corrected. <br />
