MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />September 18, 1972 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at May- , <br />field Village Hall on Monday, September 18 at 8:01 p.m. Mayor Beebe presided.. . <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. • <br />• ? <br />Ro11 Ca11: Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, „ <br />Braun, Davis, and Leech . <br />Absent: Mr. Schmidt ` <br />Also present were Messrs. Edelman, Hovancsek, and Chief Hejcl. <br />Comments from the floor: None. <br />Mayor Beebe asked the minutes of the August 21 meeting be approved. Mr. <br />Boger pointed out the Mayor does not have voting priviledges as so shown <br />in the "roll calls" of those minutes. <br />Mr. Leech, seconded by Mr..Davis,-motioned to have the minutes.of the <br />,--- <br />August 21 meeting be approved as corrected. Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, Braun, <br />?, . Davis, and Leech . <br />' NAYS: None . . <br />Motion Carried <br />' Minutes Approved .. . <br />Old Business: None. , New Business: <br />Additional Street Liclhting: Three phases; 1) Recommendation by <br />the Police Department per 1972 standards, some areas too dark; thereforeg <br />lights necessary on main arteries and certain secondary crossroads; 2) <br />Areas where underground wiring exi.sts such as Aintree Park and Beta Drive. <br />Cost of about $600 for wiring included in the purchase of homes in that <br />; area where 80% of the residents indicated they wanted lights; 3) Other <br />- streets where people might want, for example, gas lights, or to put up <br />their own. CEI recommended big lamps spaced so many feet apart, but <br />people would rather see 15' oriental type. Survey•to be conducted will <br />be outlined in the "Voice of the Village"o <br />Pendinct/Potential Zoning Litiqation: The 22 story highrise proposal <br />- in the Upper Forty area still in Common Pleas Court. Senior Citizens <br />building, next to Fisher's Tavern, still pending in the courts. The <br />`- Van Curen/Schwattz proposed development will be litigated. <br />? _ . . <br />I . - -
