MSNUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />December 18, 1972 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at Mayfield <br />Village Hall on December 18 at 8:09 p.m. Mayor Beebe presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs. Hoger, Bordonaro, <br />Braun, Davis, Leech, & Schmidt <br />Absent: None Also present were Messrs. Relicp Edelman9 Hovancsek, D'Agostino, Chiefs <br />Hejcl and Shortle. , <br />Comments from the floors None <br />New Business: <br />Albert Stuart,'6680 Bonnieview Road, was sworn in by Mr. Edelman, a <br />Notary Public, as a part time fireman. • <br />The Mayor-cited a letter had been received from Regional P],anning asking <br />for our opinion of the Gates Mi11s Vi11a 11. He then read the reply sents <br />"Our attitude regarding this federal aid application differs i.n no way <br />from other recent applications which--simply put--would permit thousands <br />of additional gallons of raw sewerage to pour into the already-overloaded <br />Beech Hill comminutor station. When (or if) the new station is constructed <br />and proven adequate--then and only then should this application or any <br />other application be considered. If all government agencies,and develop- <br />ers, were truly serious about the very real pollution problems affecting <br />the environment--these applications and premature building construction <br />would not take place. It's obvious that manls mad quest for the buck <br />usurps all words written on the al.arming pollution crisis we facel" <br />Also, there will be a formal proposaZ of 175 home allotment i.n the 76 <br />acre plot east of Highland Road probably after the first of the year. It <br />wi11 be a total residential area provided the sewer problem is resolvedo <br />The State Highway Department replied to a letter sent on reseeding and <br />final grading they have not done and consequently the Village has delayed , <br />final payment. . <br />The Mayor complimented all Departments on the snow removal during the past <br />weekend. <br />On the CEI matter three factors remain: 1) trenching on the south side <br />of Wilson Mills on which a letter sent was sent to those residents. The <br />'Village had been presented plans for this underground wiring and through <br />the efforts of Mr. D'Agostino, CES did not rip out the sidewalks; 2) "tall <br />pole" situation on I-271 and the Lark Substation not yet finalized; 3) the <br />survey on residential street lighting will proceed in those areas where
