MZNUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />VI'LLAGE OF MAYF]ELD <br />April 167 1973 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at May- <br />field Village HaYl on Apri1.16'at"8e08 p.m.:. Boger, Bordonaro,' ? <br />Davis, Leech, Prager, & 5chmidt <br />Absent: None i <br />Also present were: Messrso Relic, Byrnes, Hovancsek, Chiefs Shortle <br />and He jcl, and Louis Hovancsek. . <br />Mr. Davis, seconded by Mr. Leech, made a motion to approve the minutes <br />of the March 19 meeting and special Council meeting of March 8-. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Messrs. Boger, Bordonaro, Davis, Leech, <br />Prager, & 5chmidt <br />NAYSs None - - ' Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />New Business: <br />Mr. Harry Krause was sworn in as Road Foreman and Assistant to the <br />! Service Director by Mr. Lar.?Qy Byrnes, a Notary Public. <br />The Mayor advised after thorough rigid testing for two new patrolmen, <br />the men are now available for appointment. It was previously decided to <br />add one patrolman now, but because of a monetary savings it would be <br />advantageous to hire both now. Councilman Leech asked if present Ordi- <br />nances limited the number of patrolmen the Village could hire and pay. <br />Mr. Byrnes replied that Ordinance 583 provides that the Mayor can appoint <br />any number of patrolmen and if Council approves the appointments, the <br />Ordinance permits the Vill.age to pay their salaries. <br />The Mayor appointed Dona7.d Stevens and Dav3.d Liggett as patrolmen with <br />the usual.six-month probationary period. <br />Mr. Boger, seconded by Mr. Schmidt, made a motion to confirm the appoint- <br />ment of Messrs. Stevens and Liggett with the usual six-month probationary <br />period. <br /> Roll Call: AYES: Messrs.
