MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village. of Mayfield <br />February 15, 1971 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular session at <br />St. Bartholomew Church on Monday, February 15, 1971 at 8:15 P.Mo, <br />Mayor Busa, presidinga <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mayor Busa, Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, <br />Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt and Davis. <br />Absent: None. <br />Also present were Messrs. Zockemer, Edelman, D'Agostino, Hovanc- <br />sek and Chief Shortle. ' <br />Mr. Leech, seconded by Mr. Boger, made a motion to accept the <br />minutes of the January 18, 1971 Meeting as written. Roll Call: <br />AYES: Messrs. Leech, Fitz-Gerald, Bordonaro, Boger, Schmidt and <br />Davis. NAYS: None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Old Business: <br />Income Tax: Mr. Zockemer: Nothing on the appeal with the City of <br />~ eve and. TUIr. Edelman stated that, the money will be paid within <br />a few weeks. <br />Cleveland Water and Sewer Tap-In: Mr. D'Agostino: TVo Problem. <br />Traffic Survey: Chief Shortle: Diet with Highland Heights and <br />they have received all records and files and at this point we <br />are waiting to hear from them. <br />Village Hall: Mr. beech: Proceeding quite rapidly. Occupancy <br />is scheduled for April 15, 1971. <br />Gas Well: Chief Hejcl: .Because of the chief's absence, Mayor <br />Busa instructed Mro D°Agostino to give the fire chief the map <br />which pin points the location of this uncapped gas well on SOM <br />Center Rd. and to cap it before someone gets killed and to re- <br />port to Safety and Service Committee. <br />Civil Defense: Mr. Boger: According to the operators the tests <br />went well and there was a good contact on communications. <br />Pumping of Flooded Basements: Mayor Busa brought up for. discussion, <br />Fire Chief Hejcl°s Department Order ##71-2 Whereas the fire depart- <br />melit will no longer pump out flooded basements but will only shut <br />off power and gas in buildings. Mayor Busa stated that he did <br />not appreciate any department head to make administration policy <br />or decisi(5ns of this nature. He felt triat this type of decision <br />
