83 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEFTING,OF COUNCIL -? , <br />June 15, 1987 <br />Mayfield Village <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, June <br />15, 1987, at 8 p.m. in the Council Cnambers at the Village Hall. Council <br />President Santo Basile presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Cal1: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Goley, and Mr. Petschauer <br />Absent : Mr. Etzler <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Feneli, Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Mr. Patrick, Chief Mohr, Chief Stevens, and Miss Heath. <br />OPEN PORTION: <br />Mr. William Pierce, Upper 40's Drive, thanked the Service Department for <br />patching up their driveway so quickly following the "flood" that occurred <br />two weeks ago. He said he hopes that apermanent solu.tion will be forth- <br />coming. <br />Judge Robert Grogan, 480 Oakton Circle, said that last year he attended a <br />Couricil Meeting to find out when the roads in his neighborhood would be <br />resurfaced. He said he was assured that that area would be placed on the <br />repair list for this year (especially Hickory Hill.) Now he understands <br />that it will not be done this year. <br />Judge Grogan said that for the last ten years we have always had pretty good <br />service with sweeping of the roads. It has not been done this year; the whole <br />" north end of town is a mess. He said he contacted the Service Department and <br />was told the work was being done. He said he contacted the Service Department <br />again.about two weeks ago and they said the work had been done; theq had <br />received the invoice. Iie said he hopes the bill has not been paid; the work <br />has not been done. He would like to know when the sweeping will be completed. <br />Mr. Amendola said the bill has not been paid; they are aware that the work <br />had not been completed.' He is waiting for the company to return his call. <br />They were the only contractor available in the area. <br />Mr. Amendola will give an updated report to Mayor Carmen on this matter Qn <br />Wednesday. <br />?r. Basile asked Mr. Amendola to keep him apprised of the matter since Judge <br />Grogan is in his ward; he will get back to him. <br />Mr. Sam Rife, 885 Worton Park Drive - said he understands that Council may be <br />awarding a contract for street resurfacing in the kTOrton Park area. He said <br />that he and many other residents in his neighborhood are concerned that if <br />additional asphalt is added to the road, it may cause flooding to some of the <br />homes in the area. He asked that consideration.be given to taking down the <br />base of the street before it is raised.
