NIINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL
Mayfield Village
February 15,1993
The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, February 15,1993,
at eight o'clock p.m. (8 p.m.) in the Council Chambers at Village Hall. Council President
Joanne M. Cinco presided.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler,
and Mr. Flynn
Absent: None
Also Present Were: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Brett, Mr. Diemert,
Mr. Hovancsek (8:05 p.m.), Chief Mohr, Chief Stevens,
and Miss Heath
?

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
OPEN PORTION
Tim Harth, 650 S.O.M. Center Road - said in regards to Ordinance 92-46 about the
purchase of the property at 640 S.O.M. Center Road, (the Norris properiy), after
reviewing some of the minutes they take exception to some of the things that were said.
He referred to page two of the minutes, and quoted a comment made by former Mayor
Pietrafese. Mr. Harth asked if it was the intention of Council to de-value his property
(being adjacent to the Norris property.)
Mayor Rinker said this house had been on the market for 15 months. It is up to the
seller whether they want to sell for fair market value. Based on the circumstances for
the Village to have to acquire the property, they felt it was a more amicable way to
handle it.
Mr. Harth asked the intended use of the property (by the Village.)
Mayor Rinker said the Village needs to build a municipal complex. It is an expensive
proposal, not at the least of it is acquiring the property in some fashion. This is one area
architects and department heads have looked at; it is a target area.
