n
?
MINUTES OF A COUNCIL.BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING
.Village of Mayfield
January 17, 1983
The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met as a Board of Appeals on Monday,
January 17, 1983, at 8:42 p.m. in the Village Hall. Council President, Vince
J. Busa,. presided.
Roll Call: Present: Messrs.•, Busa,-Carmen, Etzler, Flynn, Spellman, Mrs.
Bloom and Mrs. Hanus
Absent : None
Also Present Were . Mayor Beebe, Messrs., Ameudola, Feneli, Hovancsek, Toth,
Chief Hejcl and Chief Stevens
Mr. Busa stated the matter for consideration is the Paris Variance Request.
He said he hopes Council. is prepared to make a decision tonight on this matter.
He asked for comments from Council.
There were no comments. '
Mr. Feneli explained the request Mr. Paris made to Council, asking them to
consider allowing the use of 3,100 square feet in the "C" Building located
in the Beta Office.Complex as a physicians off ice. The office planned will
be similar to the Urgent Care.Clinic that recently opened on Mayfield Road
in the old Brush Furniture Store. In 1979 Council granted Mr. Paris a
parking variance. At that time, Mr. Paris said there would be no medical
or dental facilities on that site in any building which could not be
constructed without the parking variance granted by Council at that time.
Mr. Paris now feels that Building C did not need the parking variance in
order to be constructed,•therefore, he should be allowed to put in the
proposed physicians off ice. This matter was presented to the Planning and
Zoning Commission and their reeommendation to Council was to deny the
variance request. It is now before Council, as a Board of Appeals, to make
a decision. Mr. Feneli said the evidence presented. by Mr. Bartunek at the December 20th
meeting established the use of Builditig C to be closely akin to the Urgent
Care Clinic in the old Brush Furniture Store. He asked Mr. Bartunek if this
was a similar or identical operation to that.
Mr. Bartunek stated a group practice physicians office is planned.
Mr. Flynn asked who was responsibl.e for the presence of the Court Recorder.
The Court Recorder was present at the request of Julius Paris.
