<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />February 15, 1982 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met in Regular Session on Monday, <br />February 15, 1982, at 8:05 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council President, <br />Michael W. Spellman, presided. <br />Quorum Call: Present: Messrs., Busa, Carmen, Etzler, Flynn, Spellman, <br />Mrs. Bloom and Mrs. Hanus <br />Absent : Mayor Beebe, Chief Hejcl, Chief Stevens <br />Also Present Were . Gus Amendola, Dale Feaeli, Les Foltz, Ruth Ruggles, <br />Sgt. Schutt, Steve Hovancsek and Eloise Maynard <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />Council President Spellman stated Marie Coffey of Viacom was present and <br />has a presentation to give. <br />Marie Coffey, Representative from Viacom Cablevision, came forward and read <br />the letter she wrote to Mayor Beebe and Council as follows, "I am very <br />pleased to announce that Viacom Cablevision will start cable television <br />installation in Mayfield Village the week of March l, 1982. A meeting has <br />been scheduled with Mr. Amendola, the Building Commissioner, to review our <br />installation procedures which are in accordance with the provision of the <br />National Electric Safety Code of the National Board af Fire Underwriters. <br />The ar.ea south of Wilson Mil1s Road indicated as Phase I on.the enclosed <br />map is the f irst section available for installation. Service should be <br />available in the remaining area, north of Wilson Mills Road, within two <br />to three weeks. Where utilities are underground, the construction will <br />occur in the latter half of 1982....." <br />Mrs. Coffey gave Council samples of the various ma.rketing materials they <br />will be using. She said residents will be notified that service is <br />available through personal contacts by Viacom trained sales representatives, <br />which will start February 20th. She stated their representatives are <br />property identified and the Police Department will be informed of all <br />activities. Mrs. Coffey said if the resident is not home a door hanger <br />will be left so the person can be expecting a sales representative to <br />return. <br />Mr. Carmen stated the Viacom representatives should honor the "No Solititation" <br />signs the residents may have in their windows.
