1;l "1 <br />MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />July 15, 1982 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met on Thursday, July 15, 1982 <br />at 7:42 p.m. in the Village Hall. Council President, Michael W. Spellman, <br />presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Busa, Carmen, Etzler, Flynn, Spellma.n, and <br />Mrs. Bloom <br />Absent : Mrs. Hanus <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Beebe, Mr. Feneli, Mrs. Dlaynard, Mrs. Ruggles <br />and Mr. Toth <br />Council President Spellman stated the purpose of this hearing was to hear the <br />proponents and opponents for the proposed budget for 1983 and revenue sharing. <br />There were no proponents or.opponents. <br />Council President Spellman asked if Mrs. Ruggles or Mr. Toth would like to <br />explain Revenue Sharing and the 1983 budget. <br />Mrs. Ruggles said the State or Local Government must endeavor to provide <br />Senior Citizens and their organizations an opportunity to be heard prior. <br />to the final allocation of any funds. She asked if there were any questions <br />in ref erence to the budget or revenue sharing. She said the purpose of <br />having a budget in any year is to permit the County Budget Commission to <br />establish the real estate rates for that particular subdivision. They have <br />to be apprised what the needs are for each unit and to be given insight as <br />to what has been expended over the last two years. She said four years are <br />involved; 2•years actual, one estimated and one projected. She passed out <br />a copy of the form. <br />Mrs. Ruggles said Ordinance 82-50 must be changed - in the 4th paragraph <br />where it reads on July 13 - should be changed to July 15. <br />The Clerk of Council to make the necessary change. <br />There being no further comments, Council President Spellman, seconded by <br />Mr. Busa, made a motion to adjourn the meeting. <br />There being no objections, the meeting adjourned at 7:47 p.m. <br />r
