i <br />MINUTES OF TH.E ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />January 3rd, 1984 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session on Tuesday, <br />January 3, 1984, at 8:00 p.m. in the Village Hall. Retiring Mayor, Robert <br />G. Beebe, opened the meeting. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Council-elect Basile, Etzler, Flynn, Goley, and Mrs. <br />Bloom <br />Absent : None <br />Also Present Were . Mayor-E1.ect Fred N. Carmen, Ret3.ring Mayor Robert Beebe,. <br />Mr. Amendola, Mr. Feneli, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Feudo, Chief <br />Hej cl, and Chief Stevens. . <br />Mayor-Elect Fred Carmen, welcomed everyone to the meeting. He said Reverand <br />Huffman was present and asked that he give a short benediction. <br />Reverand Huffman came forward and gave a brief benediction. <br />Mayor-Elect Fred Carmen asked retiring Mayor Beebe if he had any last <br />comments to make before leaving office. <br />y Retiring Mayor Robert Beebe reflected on his past years. In his parting <br />comments he introduced the new Village emblem. He said Mr. Amendola thought <br />of this idea for a Village logo. <br />Retiring Mayor Robert G. Beebe administered the Oath of Office to Mayor-Elect <br />Fred N. Carmen. • <br />Mayor Carmen administered the Oath of Office to the newly-eTected members of <br />Council: Santo Basile, Richard Etzler, Lawrence Flynn, George Goley, and <br />Rochelle Bloom. He recognized State Representative Ronald J. Suster who was in the audience. <br />Mayor Carmen said the election of 1984 officers should take place now. <br />Mayor Carmen opened the floor to Council for nominations for Council Presidency. <br />Mrs. Bloom, seconded by Mr. Basile, no.minated Richard Etzler as Council President. <br />There were no further nominations. <br />
