69-
,
MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL
Village of Mayfield
July 16, 1984
The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Regular Session on Monday,
July 16, 1984, at 8:05 p.m. in the Village Hall. Couricil. president,
Richard C. Etzler, presided.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the F1ag was given.
Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Basile, Etzler, Flynn, and Goley
Absent : Mrs. Bloom
A1so.Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Feneli, Mr. Hovancsek,
Mr..Toth, and Firefighter Mohr.
OPEN PORTION
' Mr. Bill Marquardt, 6698 Wildwood.Trai1.- asked the st'atus of the mounds
in the Aintree North project.
Mayor Carmen said the Village is aware.of the problem and he asked Mz'.
Amendola to check into i:t. The mounding was done without the Village's
knawledge or approval. When the Engineer found out, he contacted the
contractor and informed him to eease until approval was obtained. However,
this did not stop others_from dumping fil1. The Police Department has
-been alerted and tol.d to ticket those caught dumping.
Mr. Hovancsek said in his opinion, mounding is a good 3dea along roads such
as that. It provides a good sound and visible screen. The matter is'being
processed through the Planning and Zoning Commission ancl they have not
approved it to date.
Mr. Marquardt asked if the project was being all.owed to cont3.nue, because he
feals it will cause drainage problems..
Mr. Hovancselc further explained that the Plase Two plan that was approved
was for the tbtal development and had nothing to do with the mounding. The
plan for the development, has, been modified and.if the mounding is not approved
by the Planning.and Zoning Commission, the developer will be responsible for
removing the dirt.
Mr. Marquardt feels the project shou].d not be allowed to continue until the
problem is solved; he contends the mounding is in violation of, the plan.
Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Hovancsek to look at the area.to see if he.feels there
could be future drainage probl.ems and let him know.
