?17 <br />MINUTES OF TBE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCII. <br />Mayfield Village <br />July 20, 1992 <br />The Council of Mayf'ield Village met in Regulaz Session on Monday, July 20, 1992, at eight <br />o'clock p.m. (8 p.m.) in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Bruce <br />Rinker presided. .. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, <br />Mr. Flynn, and W. Rinker <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present Were: Mayor Pietrafese, Mr: Amendola, W. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Lt. Porter, Chief Stevens, Mr. Toth, and Miss Heath. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the F1ag was given. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />Mr. Rinker reminded the audience that those who wish to speak aze limited to 5 minutes. <br />Brian Sullivan. 513 Zorn Lane (449-6531), said they have a drainage problem, as everybody <br />probably knows, and have had no resolution of the problem. He said there is a problem on one <br />side of the property; they aze not draining any but they are draining all of the city through. Mr. <br />Sullivan said Mayor Pietrafese has been down to look at the problem but has yet to solve it. He <br />said our solution is to put a separate drain into the woods. We have heazd there are Issue II fund. <br />There is an open drainage ditch halfway through their property draining Metro Park Drive (not <br />Zorn). Mr. Sullivan said they would like a solution to that problem and would like to invite all of <br />Council to his property to view the problem and see what their solution is. A viable solution is to <br />enclose pipe on one side. Mr. Sullivan said he is not willing to split the costs for water he is not <br />draining. <br />Mr. Rinker said to the extent they thought it was a property owner's problem, they have been <br />reluctant to assist. They would like to follow up and they will look closely at the problem. <br />Ed Ziernicki. 6838 Creekwoai, said they gave him all kinds of promises they would review the <br />problem in his back yard but no one has done anything. Mr. Ziernicki said he wants to know <br />when, what, and how they are going to fix it, or he is going to fill in the creek. Mr. Ziernicki said <br />the Mayor promised him a bridge, fence, and trees--they aze all dead. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said there are some things he may want they have not made an obligation to do. <br />Mr. Ziernicki said this is your easement. <br />Mr. Diemert said he did tallc to the gentleman and his wife last week and it is his opinion the <br />Village has no legal obligation to do anything further on that problem. Mr. Diemert said Mr. <br />Amendola offered to bring fill and do grading but he wanted more than that. He said the Village is <br />not responsible for the trees within the easement area. <br />Mr. Ziernicki said what about the property on the other side of the problem. <br />r <br />i
