~~?~ <br />MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING <br />Village of Mayfield <br />July 14, 1980 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in special session for <br />a Public Hearing on Monday July 14, 1980 at 6:35 P.M. in the Village <br />Hall. Council President, Alan Bennett presided. <br />Roll Call: Pres~:n~t: Messrs., Bennett, Carmen, Spellman and Miss <br />Trask _ <br />Absent: Mrs. Hanus and Mr. Flynn <br />Also present: Mayor Beebe, Robert Beatty and Dale Feneli <br />Mr. Bennett stated the purpose of the hearing was to hear the pro- <br />ponents and/or opponents on the proposed Budget for 1981 and Revenue <br />Sharing. Mr. Bennett asked Mr. Beatty to clarify for Council.. <br />REVENUE SHARING: <br /> Mr. Beatty explained that as prescribed by Statue a Public Hearing <br /> is required to inform the public of the intended use of the revenue <br /> sharing fro m the government. These funds have to be allocated for <br /> a specific use and as has been done in the past, they will be used <br /> for police department expenses. Approximately $28,000. <br /> There being no proponents or opponents, that portion of the hearing <br /> closed. <br />1981 BUDGET <br />Mr. Beatty stated this budget is an estimate of what the Village <br />expects to receive and spend in 1981. It is, after acceptance by <br />Council, to the Cuyahoga County Auditor's office. The main thrust <br />is to see how much the various communities need and want and the <br />County can then allocate funds to the different communities. This <br />budget has to be submitted prior to July 20, 1980: It is a reasonably <br />comprehensive document of about 40 pages which estimates receipt of <br />$1,328.00 and estimated expenses to be $1,327,780.00. ~~ <br />Mr. Carmen questioned if the proposed Bike Path is within this year's <br />budget or part of the 1981 Budget? ` <br />Mr. Beatty clarified that the Bike Path funds was included in the <br />1981 Budget in the Service Department Maintenance Fund which was <br />increased by about $15,000.00 to cover this expense. <br />There being no proponents or opponents, the hearing closed at <br />6:47 P.M. <br />1 <br />
