MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF COUNCIL
Mayfield Village
June 18, 2001
The Council of Mayfield Village met for a Public Hearing on Monday, June 18, 2001, at
8:05 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Bill
Marquardt presided.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ilacqua,
Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker
Alisent: None
Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Lt. Dearden, Mr. Diemert,
Lt. Girbino, Mr. Metzung, Mr. Samac, Mr. Thomas and
Mrs. Roman

Council President Marquardt said the Public Hearing is regarding the adoption of a tax budget.
He asked Mr. Brett to comment.
Mr. Brett said this is the first preliminary budget for 2002. It is based upon the last 2 years
revenues and expenses and projecting out over next year. We are starting to reallocate inside
millage from general bond retirement back to the General Fund to address the fact that we've got
new revenue streams coming in via the TIF brdinance that we passed a couple of years ago. Tax
rates for property owners will probably be reduced from the municipal standpoint. There are no
changes overall. There haven't been any changes in the overall tax rates levied by the
municipality over the last 7 years; the only changes have been in a downward motion. Taxes
over the last 10 years have gone down; they have never increased in my tenure here and that will
continue to be the case. That is from the properiy tax standpoint. Mr. Brett said he is open to
any questions and has a copy of the budget available. He would be glad to discuss it after the
meeting and/or to provide anyone who would like a copy with a copy.
There were no comments.
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to adjourn.
ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa,lVlrs. Cinco, Mr. Ilacqua; NIr.
Marquardt, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
The Public Hearing was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
