RESOLUTION NO. 2018-23 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />- AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION - <br />AUTHORIZING MAYFIEI.D VILLAGE TO EXPEND FUNDS FOR GRANITE SPIRES <br />FOR THE FIRST RESPONDER'S MEMORIAL TRAILHEAD <br />WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the <br />health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to construct the First <br />Responder's Memorial Trailhead in the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield has a piece of the Worlcl Trade Center that is <br />required to be displayed; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield wishes to incorporate the display of the piece of the <br />World Trade Center into the First Responder's Memorial Trailhead; and WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield wishes to commission two custom granite spires <br />from Johns-Carabelli Co. in order to incorporate them into the First Responders Memorial <br />Trailhead. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby approves and authorizes an <br />expenditure not to exceed $10;020.00 to Johns-Carabelli Co. for two custom granite spires for <br />the First Responder's Memorial Trailhead. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into contract with Johns-Carabelli Co. for two custom granite spires <br />for the First Responder's Memorial Trailhead. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of tliis Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took <br />place in meetings open to the public, in compliance .with all statutory requirements including <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
