ORDINANCE NO. 2020-34 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAYFIELD VILLAGE CODIFIED ORDINANCE <br />CHAPTER 1383 AUTOMATIC FIRE SUPPRESSION EQUIPMENT <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village adopted Chapter 1383 of the Codified Ordinances <br />pertaining to automatic fire suppression equipment utilized within the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1383.05 sets forth maintenance, including inspections of automatic <br />fire suppression equipment, required by Chapter 1383 by the Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1383.06 sets forth automatic fire detection systems in existing <br />buildings; and <br />co WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Council deems it in the best interest and for the health, <br />safety and welfare of Mayfield Village and its residents to amend Sections 1383.05 and 1383.06 <br />of the Codified Ordinances to set forth that all annual inspections of automatic fire suppression <br />equipment shall be in accordance with the requirements of the Fire code and automatic fire alarm <br />detection systems in existing buildings shall be installed in accordance with the Ohio Building <br />Code Article 9 as set forth below. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Mayfield Village, Cuyahoga <br />County, State of Ohio that: <br />SECTION 1. Sections 1383.05 and 1383.06 of the Village's Codified Ordinances is <br />amended to read as fully set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />reference. <br />SECTION 2. That any sections of the Codified Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby <br />and herein repealed and amended accordingly. All other provisions of the Village Codified <br />Ordinances not inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy <br />of this Ordinance to the Codifier of Mayfield Village. <br />IL <br />
