[A RESOLUTION NO. 2021-18 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH BRANDSTETTER CARROLL, INC. FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE CIVIC CENTER RENOVATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000.00 WHEREAS, based upon recommendation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to engage a professional company in order to provide design and construction management services for the renovation of the restrooms and kitchen in the Mayfield Village Civic Center; and WHEREAS, Brandstetter Carrol, Inc. has provided design services for the ongoing Mayfield Village Civic Center renovation and has been previously approved under the Village's qualification selection policy for professional services; and WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village administration reviewed the proposal and recommends that the Village Council approve and accept the proposal of Brandstetter Carrol, Inc. in the amount of $30,000.00. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the proposal of Brandstetter Carrol, Inc. in the amount of $30,000.00. SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and President of Council to enter into contract with Brandstetter Carrol, Inc. for design and construction management services for the renovation of the restrooms and kitchen in the Mayfield Village Civic Center attached hereto as Exhibit A. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meeting of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
