CEJ <br />RESOLUTION 2022-32 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF C.A. AGRESTA CONSTRUCTION <br />CO. IN THE AMOUNT OF $149,849.00 AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE <br />AINTREE PARK DRIVE MEDIAN REMOVAL AND GARDEN DRIVE PAVEMENT <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents and inhabitants to remove the concrete median on Aintree Park Drive and to <br />perform pavement improvements on Garden Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, the bids for the aforementioned improvements were received, opened and <br />tabulated as per published notice on July 29, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of C.A. Agresta Construction Co. in the amount of $149,849.00 was <br />the lowest and best bid received; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Engineer, who prepared the design and bid specifications for this <br />Ce project, has reviewed the bids and recommends that Council approve and accept the <br />aforementioned bid. A copy of his written recommendation and the bid tabulation are attached. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village hereby accepts and approves the bid of <br />C.A. Agresta Construction Co. in the amount of $149,849.00. <br />SECTION 2. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby direct the Mayor and <br />President of Council to enter into a contract with C.A. Agresta Construction Co. for the Aintree <br />Park Drive median removal and the Garden Drive pavement improvements in accordance with the <br />specifications contained in the bid documents. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council, and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />C1 <br />
