J RESOLUTION NO. 2023-20 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,947.55 TO LEWIS LANDSCAPING AND NURSERY INC. FOR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of the Mayfield Village Director of Parks and Recreation, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents and inhabitants to provide annual preparations and maintenance to the softball fields; and WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Director of Parks and recreation requested proposals for annual preparations and maintenance of the softball fields; and WHEREAS, Lewis Landscaping and Nursery Inc. provided a proposal in the amount of $12,947.00 for the annual maintenance and preparation of the softball fields; and WHEREAS, the Mayfield Village Director of Parks and Recreation reviewed the proposal of Lewis Landscaping and Nursery Inc. and recommends that the Village approve an expenditure in an amount not to exceed $12,947.00 for the annual maintenance and preparation of the softball fields and accept the proposal of Lewis Landscaping and Nursery Inc. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. The Council of Mayfield Village does hereby accept the proposal and approve an expenditure not to exceed $12,947.00 to Lewis Landscaping and Nursery Inc. for the annual maintenance and preparation of the softball fields. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council, and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
